MAP OF RISK

The Diário Oficial of the Union of August 20, 1992 published an entrance of Safety's National Department and Health of the Worker (DNSST) implanting the compulsory nature of the elaboration of maps of risks for the Internal Commissions of Prevention of Accidents (CIPAS) in the companies. That entrance went into effect in last December.
The map is a rising of the risk points in the different sections of the companies. It is identifying situations and places potentially dangerous. Starting from a low plant of each section they are lifted up all the types of risks, classifying them for danger degree: small, medium and big.

These types are contained in five groups classified by the colors green, brown, yellow and blue. Each group corresponds her/it an agent type: chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic and mechanic. The idea is that the employees of a section make selection pointing to the the principal problems of the respective unit. In the plant of the section, exactly in the place where is the risk (a machine, for instance) the circle should be placed in the appraised size by CIPA and in the color corresponding to the risk degree.
